Paws & Pours 2025 Recap: A Celebration of Community, Canines, and Compassion

Dear Pawfectly Delicious Community,

On Sunday, June 8, 2025, the Alexandria community came together at Fort Hunt Park for our annual fundraiser, Paws & Pours. With perfect timing and a little help from our event ambassador, ABC7 Meteorologist Steve Rudin, the stormy skies held off, allowing guests and their furry companions to enjoy a joyful afternoon in support of our mission: to provide the dignity of paid work for disabled adults in the local Alexandria area.

This year’s event topped last years, raising over $20,000 to further our mission. The pavilion was transformed into a festive and fun atmosphere thanks to the help from our board members, dedicated staff and community volunteers. We are so grateful for the wonderful vendors who supported Paws & Pours including:

  • Pet Illustrations by the talented Alexandra Schmeling

  • Pet Photography sessions with Rachel Mamis

  • Dog Agility by the caring team at Wholistic Hound Academy

  • Wine courtesy of The Wine Institute

  • Craft Beer from local favorite Port City Brewing

  • Live Music by the age-defying gents of The Hip Replacements

  • The largest grazing tablescape ever seen at Fort Hunt, curated by Christina Carter of Crudités All Day

  • Mocktails mixed to perfection by Bartique

  • Whimsical Balloon Décor by Brightly Ever After

  • Stunning Floral Arrangements from Greenstreet Gardens

  • Spectacular signage from the amazing team at Image360 Fairfax

In addition to our impeccable event partners, we are also so grateful to all of the businesses, organizations and individuals who donated items to our Silent Auction. Without your generosity and support, we never would have beaten our fundraising goal – thank you for your incredible contributions.

As you can see, it takes many hands to pull off an event of this magnitude. The event was a true community effort, filled with laughter, wagging tails, and heartfelt moments. We are deeply grateful to our sponsors, volunteers, partners, vendors, and every attendee who made this day so special.

Thank you for helping us create opportunities, one treat at a time.

With gratitude,

Anne
