The Power of Connection 

Before Pawfectly Delicious Dog Treats was more than just a dream, I ran a small side business selling designer clothing to women in the comfort of their homes. What I loved most wasn’t the fashion—it was the relationships. I saw how a simple outfit could spark confidence, deepen connections, and create lasting friendships that extended far beyond the moment I rolled my clothing rack out the door. 

That side hustle didn’t just fund the early days of Pawfectly Delicious—it laid the foundation for something deeper. It taught me that connections are transformative. Whether you're selling clothes, baking dog treats, or leading a Fortune 500 company, relationships are at the heart of meaningful work. 

For individuals with disabilities, finding connection and community can be especially challenging. Isolation is all too common. That’s why our business model is intentionally designed to break that stereotype. At Pawfectly Delicious, we cultivate a safe, inclusive environment where our employees are supported by staff and volunteers who mentor, role-play, and guide them—reinforcing the value of teamwork, mutual respect, and relationship-building. 

This is more than job training. It’s life skill development, and it often happens outside the kitchen—during enrichment periods, at community events, or when guests visit us at the church. Every moment is an opportunity to connect, grow, and belong. 

Speaking of connecting, growing and belonging, this summer, we were thrilled to welcome two new interns, Ginny and Henry, who have joined our team with enthusiasm and heart. Our internship program offers young adults the opportunity to volunteer with us for a set period of time—giving them a meaningful introduction to our work, while allowing us to understand their unique strengths and potential. 

Each new face is a reminder that our mission is growing. At Pawfectly Delicious, we remain deeply committed to expanding opportunities for adults with disabilities—offering not just the dignity of paid work, but a true sense of belonging and connection. Watching our team grow is more than gratifying; it’s a testament to the power of inclusion and the impact of community.
